The Delta del Ebro Natural Park is a natural site located at the mouth of the Ebro River, at the Mediterranean Sea. Formed by large areas of rice paddies and wide lagoons, it is one of the largest wetlands in Europe. This environment is ideal for a wide variety of birds that are already established in the place, or those that stop on their migratory journey.

Biosphere Reserve


The Ebro Delta is located within les Terres de l'Ebre. This region has recently been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Its large natural areas are the Ebro Delta Natural Park, the Ports Natural Park, the Cebes Nature Reserve in Flix and the entire Ebro River surrounding areas.

The Ebro Delta is a perfect natural environment for the nesting of a wide variety of bird species such as flamingos, seagulls, mallard or blue-eyed ducks, egrets, herons, imperial herons, common chickens, bitterns, black terns, waders and birds of prey. Special viewpoints for bird watching are found throughout the area.
